The second volume of H.F.B. Lynch's "Armenia. Travel and Studies" is one of the most monumental travel reports published on the eastern provinces of the Ottoman Empire before the First World War. In beautiful evocative language the author describes the two extensive journeys he made in the area. The book was illustrated with photos made by the author. While some of the photos were reproductions from the original plates, for some reason others were published only as drawings
